about the artists

cassandra pence ostermeier hails from illinois and currently lives right smack in the center of the state with her supportive and rugged husband and their two wild boys. up until a couple of years ago, cassandra reported to duty at lrs web solutions to provide her creative & leadership abilities as a developer & project manager.

tired of the same ol' same ol', cassandra then took a giant leap of faith, quit her job and set out on an adventure of her dreams...

as the main artist for urban sassafras, cassandra brings a unique mix of rustic style and glamour to her shop.  you can find handmade decor, photography, paintings, refurbished furniture and more.  she will always welcome you with a warm cup of coffee and a chat if you have the time.
